FDA Warns Against Falsely Marketed Diabetes Drugs

Reuters reports on the FDA announcement that they are taking action against products that “falsely claim to cure or mitigate the symptoms of diabetes.” The products are marketed as “natural” products but the FDA claims that they contain, “undeclared active pharmaceutical ingredients in unknown quantities that could cause harm or complicate medical conditions.” Three of the most dangerous of the drugs are DiexiInsupro Forte, and Anti-Diabetic Pancreatic Capsule, all of which were shipped from Asia. The products are all thought to contain either chemicals that can cause extreme side effects if not taken properly or that require prescriptions.
