Experimental Wonder Pill May Crush Obesity

At Indiana University, researchers are in the process of creating a drug that will help kick obesity in the form of a simple pill, the Los Angeles Times reports. A study published in Nature Medicine describes the synthesized product consisting of gut hormones, which yielded results similar to those of bariatric surgery. After testing the experimental serum in obese rats, researchers discovered it effectively helped the rodents lose weight, in addition to reversing obesity-related ailments like type 2 diabetes and fatty liver disease.
