Exercise May be the Secret to a More Active Sex Life for Aging Men

According to Reuters, a study published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine has found that physically active men have better erectile and sexual function, supporting the notion that exercise may soon become a prescribed treatment for erectile dysfunction. Study subjects were surveyed about how often and intensely they exercised as well as their sexual function and their ability to maintain an erection and have orgasms. With full satisfaction being marked by a score of 100, the average sexual satisfaction score among the group was 50. Those who reported frequent exercise reported higher sexual function, with half of the most active participants scoring at least a 70 on the survey, compared with an average score of 33 for the most inactive participants.
