City Provides Free Marijuana For Poor Patients

The Berkeley City Council voted unanimously to provide free marijuana to patients with low incomes, Reuters article reports. The ruling will supply poor patients with the same quality marijuana that paying patients are given, in a quantity equal to 2 percent of their sales to low-income patients. The law is aimed at creating equity among all of the town’s residents, and according to one council member, will help to ensure that those in need get their required medication.
