The newly built Citi Field, located in Queens and adjacent to the old Shea Stadium, is now the home of the New York Mets, who played their first game there on March 29, 2009. The stadium has a seating capacity of 42,000 and features unprecedented amenities, such as a contoured seating configuration designed to bring spectators closer to the field by offering them optimal sightlines at all levels of the stadium.
