CDC Warns Physicians to Look Out for MERS

A recent report from the CDC has warned American physicians and nurses to be on the lookout for MERS, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, in light of the growing outbreak in South Korea, particularly given that the disease can be spread by close contact, according to CBS News. Of 126 diagnosed individuals, 13 have died so far. Last year, there were two reported cases in the U.S. but both recovered and none have been reported since.
