Boston Common is a popular public park in Boston, Massachusetts. Dating from 1634, it is the oldest city park in the US, with 50 acres of land. The Common is also home to one of Boston’s oldest graveyards, the Central Burying Ground. The Common serves as a public park for all to use for formal or informal gatherings. Events such as concerts, protests, softball games, and ice skating (on Frog Pond) often take place in the park.
