Babies Exposed to TB at Texas Hospital Test Positive

According to an article published by CBS News, five babies exposed to tuberculosis at an El Paso hospital have now tested positive. A nurse assistant with the disease may have subjecting as many as 850 children, as officials are criticizing hospital safety protocol, saying more could have been done to prevent the incident. The five diagnoses have been confirmed as being inactive, though the CDC has said that infants are at a higher risk for contracting the infection, and that it is often more difficult to detect in babies.
