Ameridose Begins Recalling Products

Massachusetts drug producer Ameridose is recalling many of its products due to concerns over sterility. The company is part of the same family of drug producers as New England Compounding Center, whose contaminated steroid medications have been responsible for a nationwide outbreak of fungal meningitis. The company is recalling all of its products “after federal regulators found that it had not provided enough assurance that all the medicines it made were sterile,” according to an article in the New York Times.
