Accepting Heart Failure May Help Patients Enjoy Remainder of Life

According to Reuters, a study published in the European Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing suggests that while learning one has heart failure often leads to feelings of emotional devastation, simply accepting reality may make life easier. People who adapted to the illness reported higher energy levels, less pain, better sleep and an overall brighter outlook than those who could not accept their illness. Having a positive attitude helps the patient with the diagnosis, the treatment and the negative emotions brought on by the disease.
