There's no question that American kids need to get more fit -- and that's exactly what Dr. Mehmet Oz and his foundation HealthCorps are working to accomplish.
The Green Garden Gala on Thursday, April 30 in New York was held to support the HealthCorps mission of providing health education and mentoring to kids to “help stem the crisis of child obesity through school-based health education and mentoring, as well as community events and outreach to underserved populations.”
The event was a huge success -- guests were able to mix and mingle with attendees like Quincy Jones, LL Cool J, Ben Vereen, Ashford and Simpson, Donna Karan, Gov. David Paterson, Rocco DiSpirito and were even treated to a live performance from Wyclef Jean.
