When it comes to the power of electronic medical records to coordinate patient care, perception and reality are two totally different things. At least according to a new study published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine. The study suggests that the federal government should do more to ensure that the information technology it’s pushing through financial incentives gives physicians the tools they need to coordinate care for their patients.
